Teulada/Moraira Lions Fashion Show – a resounding success.
The Teulada Moraira club held its first charity fashion show on the 4th of July at Martillos restaurant in Moraira and what a fantastic event it proved to be with more than 60 guests attended the evening which combined fashion, entertainment and community spirit to raise funds for the Teulada Moraira Lions club. Judging by the wonderful response from those who attended this is set to become the first of many similar fun fundraising events.
A special thanks goes to Julia Bless who entertained guests throughout the evening with her accomplished singing while expertly comparing the event, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Thanks also to Fiona Flower Power for generously donating the stunning flower arrangement that adorned the reception table and welcomed guests on arrival. The Teulada Moraira Lions club would also like to extend sincere thanks to management and staff of Martillos Restaurant for their generosity in providing the venue , for their outstanding cooperation and support throughout the evening . Heartfelt thanks also go to every Lion who volunteered their time collecting clothing , helping organise the event or who worked behind the scenes as well as everyone from the local community who came along to support the evening.
The highlight of the evening was the fashion show itself featuring six volunteer models of all shape, sizes and ages who showcased the impressive selection of pre-loved clothing donated from the Lions’s Den charity shop. The models demonstrated how stylish ,versatile quality Preloved fashion could be, inspiring guest with outfits suitable for every taste and occasion . Following the catwalk presentation all of the models outfits were displayed on clearly organised large medium and small clothing rails allowing guests to browse and purchase items seen on the runway in addition there was a wide selection of other fashions available giving everyone plenty of choice.
The evening quickly developed into exactly what the organisers had hoped for , a relaxed, friendly and sociable occasion where people could enjoy themselves while supporting a worthwhile local course . The atmosphere was filled with laughter conversation and enthusiasm as guests mingled, shopped and supported the Lions fundraising efforts with such an overwhelming positive response. The Lions are delighted to announce that another fashion show is already being organised for late autumn. The Lions club looks forward to welcoming everyone back for another enjoyable evening of fashion , friendship and fundraising later this year .
