Lions Club has donated two blood pressure monitors to the Health Centre of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Among those present there was the councilman of Health, Dirk Rheindorf, who thanked the donation of these medical devices and its constant solidarity. “We are working so that the assistance in this health centre is much better every day and fortunately we always have the invaluable contributions of charitable associations such as Lions Club” highlighted the councilman of Health.
Lions Club has just completed five years of partnership with El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Since then, it works closely with the Department of Social Services, and is always aware of the needs of the municipality. It collaborates in the free textbooks, helps the most deprived families with food vouchers and provides graduated glasses for minors with visual problems. In April 2016, it donated three portable oxygen concentrators with bag valve masks that allow police officers and Civil Protection to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres with greater precision and effectiveness. The inclusion of these devices in the cars of the officers turned the municipality into one of the most solid in terms of health improvement policy.
