U3A IN CONCERT ON 26th JUNE 2016
U3A put in another superb, stonkingly stellar performance as they opened T.M. Lions’ 2016 Summer Season of Concerts by the Seafront in Moraira. Audience numbers may have been slightly down this time around since we faced a degree of competition as Spain went to the polls in it’s national elections – and there was also the small matter of a football match………… – but, nonetheless, our infamous buckets collected 1701 coins which weighed 8.2kg and came to an excellent total of 935.72 euros.
Our grateful thanks to the band for a night of great music, to the event’s sponsors, Dragon Insurance, for their generous support and, of course, to everyone who turned up to the concert and lobbed a coin or two into a bucket. We hope to see you all again next year!
