Lion President David Platt ( centre) is pictured here donating a cheque for €1200 to the volunteers of Benitachell Bomberos. This is to purchase equipment damaged in the recent fires that swept over Javea and Benitachell causing extensive damage to land and properties. As seen in the photograph, on the day of the presentation the volunteers were busy in the Cumbre Del Sol urbanisation removing fire damaged trees from surrounding properties.
