Wednesday, the 28th February, saw a great Rolling Stones tribute show performed by ‘The Stoned’ on behalf of the Teulada–Moraira Lions in Espai La Senieta, Moraira. The concert was a sell out and proved a huge success from the first “riff” to the last chord. This is the first time the TM Lions have engaged ‘The Stoned’ and they certainly lived up to their idols.
All the Rolling Stones’ hits were performed with great aplomb much to the delight of the audience who were dancing, singing and thoroughly enjoying the show including the “Jaggerish” antics of the front man.
Lion President, Brian Clarke, thanked all who were involved in producing the show, the raffle and the bar, also the Ayuntamiento and the audience for their generous support.
Our next concert(s) are scheduled for Saturday the 24th March, again in Espai La Senieta, Moraira and features The Liverpool Band. These have proved very popular – the evening show has already sold out and there are only a few remaining tickets available for the matinee performance.
The TM Lions will also be presenting “An Evening with Aretha Franklin” featuring the fabulous Shondell Mimms on Saturday the 21st April, again in Espai La Senieta, Moraira. This will be a fantastic tribute to one of the greatest Soul Divas emulating her fantastic Mezzo–Soprano vocal style and on stage charisma with all of her greatest hits. This will be a show not to miss!
