Saturday the 21st April saw the fabulous Shondell Mims perform her tribute to Aretha Franklin on behalf of the Teulada–Moraira Lions.
The sell out show was a great success with Shondell performing classic hits by the famous Soul Diva as well as some great gospel songs. With a terrific support performance by local lad Sam Cox, “The little guy with the Big Voice”, it was a very lovely evening of melody and harmony and we are sure to see more of these terrific acts.
Lion President, Brian Clarke, thanked all involved in producing such a great event, especially the Ayuntamiento and the generous audience who support our fund raising efforts.
Our final show this Spring will be on the 13th May, again in Espai La Senieta, Moraira and features the ever popular Blues Brothers and Sister Act tribute shows. This will be a high energy event featuring all the hits from the famous “Blues Brothers” movie and the Whoopie Goldberg “Sister Act films” It’s not Just a Show but a Party!
This show has proved so popular that we are planning a matinee show on the same afternoon. This will be in Espai La Senieta, Moraira and the show will start at 4:30 p.m. There will be a complimentary bar.
