One of the Teulada-Moraira Lions’ great friends and supporters, Jef Hatton, offered to “put the band back together” for a one-off show for the TM Lions whilst he was visiting Spain, naturally the Lions jumped at the chance to showcase “Manhatton Jazz” once again with their blend of popular jazz classics. So a concert was organised for Sunday the 9th of September in Espai La Senieta, Moraira and what a concert it proved to be, with great songs from the likes of Louis Armstrong, gospel traditions, popular movies and many more.
The audience were “toe tappin” and “hand clappin” throughout the performance and Lion President, Laura Hillstead, went on stage at the end of the show to thank Jef and the band and all involved in producing this special show. We are already in discussions to bring Jef and the boys back for another one-off special show which will be a tribute to the legendary Louis Armstrong (Satchmo), so watch the press for details.
Our next event will be the Take That tribute shows on the 30th September followed by our annual quiz night in October which this year will be held in Innate Active restaurant, Sol Park.
